First of all, i would like to wish all of u Happy Diwali… 
I was browsing the blogs today and i came across one interesting blog titled A spoiled society?. To be brief, it talked mostly of the articles in newspapers concerning the youngsters implicated in acts like rape cases and all… The colllege students are becoming the headlines of newspapers nowadays and that also not in any positive way but negative ways. Here’s an extract taken from Sailesh’s blog:
- Andréa, 16 ans, battue, violée et sodomisée
- Meurtre de Closel : le frère d’Ashna avoue leur relation incestueuse
- Sharon : « Qui a violé ma fille ? »
- Il tue sa maîtresse le jour de son anniversaire
- Un pêcheur trouvé coupable de sodomie et d’agression
- Au SSS de Triolet : des jumelles de 15 ans se disent victimes d’un viol collectif
- Battue, elle fait une fausse couche
Most of these concerns more of the college students. Many of us here today realise that this soceity and this young generation is really in danger. Well it’s not all of them of course. There are indeed really good students present as well in that younger generation. But many are getting astray and that’s really alarming for their own future and the future of the soceity.
But let’s think what’s really the root of all these problems nowadays? What really pushes them into such acts? Isn’t there any solution to such problems in the soceity? What must be done?
Like many of my friends here, I am concerned about my soceity since we all form a part of it. I am glad that i am not the only one to realise that what’s happening around us is really not a good sign.
So let’s just see some possible causes of the problems among these college youngsters:
- Lack of parent’s attention (Lack of communication)
- Bad influences from friends or other external factors
- Misunderstanding over certain topics like “Sex”
These are some of the causes…
Are there any solution to these problems? Let’s see if there are ways to deal with the problem:
Moral Values
One solution would be to introduce topics on moral values in primary and secondary schools. And teachers should see to it what is being taught in the classrooms are being put into practice by the students even outside school. Making the rules of the school more strict. Making the students realize what’s right and what’s wrong.
Parents
Many parents work today, hence they are not able to give enough time to their children. Hence they never know what their children are up to. They finally come to know about it through newspapers or from other people. The children are left at the hands on the teachers. And there are some teachers who do not even do their work well. The parents are even not aware whether their children are going to school or somewhere else. If parents could give some time to their children explaining to them what’s right and what’s wrong at least this can cause some improvements. I have seen many parents trying to cover the mistakes of their children, but this is really wrong, they do not even realize that this might harm the child himself in the future.
And what about the schools itself? Each and every activity must be monitored strictly and also observe whether the teachers themselves are doing their work well.
The government also can help in such cases. We have not seen the government doing anything about these cases. Maybe because this has currently no impact on the economy of the country? But what about the future of the country itself? Well I agree the government alone cannot do anything.
It is also the responsibility of the students itself. They should realize on their own on which path they are heading towards…
I have a message for all my college friends who are the future of this country:
Your life is in your own hands, do not spoil it by doing acts that might be fun today but tomorrow you might regret it. Think well before taking any step in life. Everything has it’s own time, not all daring things in life are good, some might even ruin you. The future of this country, YOUR future lies in your hands. I am not saying this for myself but for yourself. You do know it. If ever i get the chance to make someone realize that he is wrong and I am able to bring him on the right track that would be really a great thing for me.
